Here is the first of my healthy weight loss tips. Sugar, cut excess
sugar from your diet, sugar makes your body create insulin. When your
body creates too much insulin it affects your liver. Your liver becomes
overworked and cannot breakdown the excess sugar, so your body
compensates and stores the sugar as fat. Avoiding sugar can be difficult
as it is found in so many of our every day foods even the ones that are
tagged as diet or healthy.
The second on our list of healthy weight loss tips is carbohydrates.
There are some fad diets out there that instruct you to cut carbs from
your diet. This is quite honestly madness, your body needs carbs.
Carbohydrates are the fuels that run the body's engine, without them you
run the risk of causing considerable damage to your health.
You should not eliminate them from your diet. Instead try to substitute
starchy carbs for non starchy carbs. Instead of white rice eat brown
rice or millet. Instead of normal potatoes eat sweet potatoes. Instead
of normal pasta eat wholemeal pasta.
Number three on the healthy weight loss tips list is fibre. Add much
more fibre to your diet, fibre can be found in high quantities in fruit
and vegetables. Adding fibre to your eating habits will improve your
digestive system when backed up by drinking 1.5 - 2 litres of water a
day. Basically, you will go more often as a result of the added fibre.
Most fruits and vegetables, have very little calories, two of the best
are carrots and broccoli which record a score of zero.
Number four on our healthy weight loss tips is exercise. Our bodies are
mechanically engineered for movement. Having extensive periods of
inactivity causes us to store fat, because we are not using our muscles.
However, if you want to burn fat and lose weight, it's important to do
the right kind of exercise. Aerobic or cardio exercise is great, but
only up to a certain point. To really achieve fast fat loss, resistance
training with weights is the way to go. By mixing up your exercise you
cause your body to work much harder thus, causing it to call on stored
energy resources i.e. fat to replenish depleted muscle tissue.
The final part of this list of healthy weight loss tips is actually not a
tip on weight loss in principal. It's more about shifting your thinking
and relationship to food. Don't think about going on a diet to lose
weight, forget about dieting. Instead think more about eating healthy.
Eliminate mass produced processed foods, eat whole foods, organic foods.
Nothing frozen, boxed, or canned, processed foods are loaded with
sugars, artificial sweeteners, salt and all manner of additives.
So if you are trying to lose weight, use these great healthy weight loss tips and watch the pounds melt away.
